Unc0ver 8.0 supports iOS 14.8 jailbreak up to iPhone 11. This is a jailbreak doesn4t include support for iOS 15 and is limited to iPhone 11 / iPhone 11 Pro with an A13 chip and below.
Unc0ver developer Pwn20wnd surprised us all with an updated version of the unc0ver jailbreak that adds iOS 14.6-14.8 support for iPhones and iPads with Apple's A12 and A13 chips. Pwn20wnd once again took to Twitter to announce the updated software, dubbed "Version 8.0.0" - a whole version number higher than the previous release which added support for Linus Henze's Fugu14 untethers to enjoy a complete jailbreak without the need to re-sign every seven days.
Supported devices with the A12 and A13 chips are iPhone XR, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone SE 2nd Generation, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPad mini 5th generation, iPad Air 3rd Generation, iPad 8th generation, iPad 9th generation.
To update unc0ver, download the new version 8 directly from the official site: https://unc0ver.dev, then install it via AltStore from a Mac. Then restart your device, open unc0ver 8.0, and click "Jailbreak".
For this new iteration of unc0ver, it looks like Pwn20wnd is using an exploit previously used in a jailbreak demo by security researcher @pattern_f_ , or at least something very similar. In this demo, @pattern_f_ used an exploit by Sarre Amar and based much of his code on an older ipc_kmsg hack.
