Most
jailbreak methods and patches are usually iOS-specific as well as
iPhone-specific, but this time, hackers have come up with a new unc0ver
jailbreak they claim works on all iPhones. This new jailbreak according to the
hackers and developers who worked on the new jailbreak, it works on all iOS devices
at launch. This will be the very first time a jailbreak method is being
released that works on all iOS devices, a so-called “Zero-day” jailbreak.
This new jailbreak from the Unc0ver team will let you jailbreak all iPhones running on iOS 11 to the latest which is iOS 13.5.

Just like
rooting is to Android, jailbreaking is for iPhone users who want to bypass
restrictions on their iDevices and install custom applications not found on the
Apple Store. So, jailbreaking makes use of a piece of software that takes
advantage of system vulnerability. And in the case of this unc0ver, it is at
the level of the kernel.
Over these
past years, Apple has been coming up with security patches to prevent people
from jailbreaking their devices. But since this new jailbreak is using a
vulnerability not yet known by Apple, one will expect it to take quite some
time for them to release a patch on their updates for this. But still, iOS users
who still want to use it can downgrade their iDevice for the jailbreak to
continue working or in order to be able to jailbreak.
An iOS security
expert Pwn20wnd who discovered this vulnerability behind the new jailbreak says
the jailbreak mechanism used doesn’t
affect iOS security at all.
