Facebook releases a messaging app for couples only

Facebook releases a messaging app for couples only. And the masterminds are Facebook's New Product Experimental Team. Tuned is the name of the new app and allows couples to send messages, create a digital scrapbook and exchange music, as well as short videos of special moments. The goal behind this new app is to create a private space for couples to chat. Although from the look of things, the app does not appear to have the end-to-end encryption like WhatsApp.

One thing you need to know is that the app is available only to iOS users in the US and Canada and does not require a Facebook account to use it. Users get connected by adding another person using their phone number and once they are connected, they can send pictures and voice memos and the app has new custom reactions specially made to serve its purpose.

Also, in terms of the app's data policy, it is the same data policy as Facebook's,  allowing the company to collect communications and other behaviour to target advertising at the user.
