Originally, you could sign and install IPA files using Cydia Impactor. But owing to server-side change at Apple on 7 October 2019, you can't sign IPA files anymore using this tool.

As mentioned in the notice, you won't be able to use the latest version of Cydia Impactor for free. Now, to install IPA packages using Cydia Impactor, a developer certificate from Apple is required and is worth $99.

With a developer account and a developer certificate, certificate of IPA files installed via Cydia Impactor don't get revoked after 7 days.

Using Cydia Impactor

One thing that makes this tool loved by many is the ease to use. Some other tools to install IPA on iOS devices usually give users a hard time but not Cydia Impactor. And the use of iTunes to install IPA files doesn't seem to work anymore. One can still use Xcode but it is quite tedious to use.

What is required

You should have iTunes or iTunes drivers installed on your computer.
A Lightning to USB cable for your iDevice(USB cable)
Cydia Impactor for Windows, Linux or Mac of course
An Apple ID(Developer preferably)

Steps to follow

Connect your iDevice to the computer
Download Cydia Impactor from below and extract. Therein, you should see a file named Impactor.exe. Launch it
It will now detect your device.
Now drag and drop the IPA file you wish to install and provide your Apple ID when asked for.
A user with a developer's account will get 1-year certificate validity.
