This new feature adds a virtual depth to wallpapers, which places certain subjects above the text, including the date and the hour.

Although this feature is exclusive to iOS 16, users with jailbroken devices on iOS 14 are not eligible except to install a new tweak called Exiwall. Signed from developer FoxFortMobile , it effectively brings the feature to lock screens in iOS 14.

Exiwalls is really great because not only does it support iOS 14, but it also supports older models, while iOS 16 only officially supports this feature on iPhone XS and newer. To work well, users should use high-resolution, well-lit images with a defined subject.

Contrasting backgrounds are very useful for the tweak to determine the subject of the image precisely. It should be noted that Exiwalls fits very well with a plethora of different jailbreak tweaks, including Jellyfish, Kalm, Quart, WeatherLS, SimpleTime, Fabric 2, Complications, Watermelon, Axon, Analog, Diary, and DualClock 2. However, it does not coexist correctly with Vartaman, FreshWall, Ventana, Helix, Zen HTML, FrontPage and LockPlus.

You should note that ExiWall is not compatible with the perspective zoom function, which moves the image when the device is tilted.

If you want to taste a part of iOS 16 before its time, install the new Exiwall tweak which is sold for $2.49 on the Havoc repository. The tweak is only compatible with the iOS 14 jailbreak and is to be put in the "iOS 16" category which already contains Echo .and PLBattery .
