How to leave the macOS beta program

This short article or guide explains the steps to follow if you want to leave the macOS beta program.

You Might have installed the macOS Beta on your MacBook as a developer or just to experience how it is. And what next if you feel like no more using macOS Beta. You will need to remove it from your computer and the first step is leaving the macOS Beta program.

Apple Beta Software Program

As a member of the Apple Beta Software Program, you’ll be able to enroll your devices to access the public betas and try out the latest features. You can provide feedback directly to Apple using the Feedback Assistant app.

Once a member of the beta program, you get therefore to experience some new features added to the macOS betas before they are being made available in the general stable macOS version. And since it is a beta, it is obvious some of the features being tested may be buggy and instead make you uncomfortable.

Leaving the macOS beta program isn't difficult. Check the steps below on how to do so.

Leaving the macOS beta program

To leave the macOS beta program, proceed thus:

  • It should be noted that leaving the beta program won't remove the beta of macOS from your Mac. Just that you will no longer receive further beta updates.
